Even if you know NOTHING about soap making. I will take you step-by-step through precisely what you need to know to ...

picture of Shona O'Connor - professional soap makerHi - I'm Shona O'Connor. I going to take you step by step through exactly what you need to know to make your own soap. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. After all, You're probably wondering what makes me the right person to teach you how to make soap. My background is as a fully qualified nurse, something that I still do, but I have chosen to specialise in beauty treatments, holistic therapies, and aromatherapy in particular. I run my own successful holistic and beauty business, as well as sell my own range of soap and bath products.

By coming on this course you will find out how you can make novelty soaps for ANY occasion. You don't have to be restricted to plain soap bars. I will show you how you can make soaps that are perfect to sell in each of the seasonal markets, and much much more.

See for yourself how YOU can create some of the fanciest, most amazing soaps ONCE YOU'VE BEEN SHOWN HOW. Once I've shown you what you need to know, there is no limit to what you can create. I'm sure you've looked at, and admired, some of the soap creations that others have made. I will show you how you can do them, and a lot more !

The Course Days

I'm offering 2 course days, to be held on three weekends this year. These are the only three course weekends available this year and I am not planning to do any more for the remainder of the year. The dates I've listed below are the ONLY dates that you can book on for the forseeable future.

I believe the best way to learn is to be personally shown how to do something, rather than reading it from a book, from an online course, or even as part of a big group training session. That is why I have deliberately restricted the numbers attending my courses to a maximum of 4 people per day, to enable you to get the personal attention that I feel you deserve.

You may choose to attend either day 1 or day 2 on their own, or you can choose to attend both days and get a £10 discount for doing so. Let me explain briefly what will be covered on each of the days.

Day 1 - Soap making - You will learn not just how to make soap, but also how to best to market and sell your products, as well as the essential legal requirements that you need to be aware of.

Day 2 - Making fizz bombs, bath salts, and other bath products. This course, like the soap making course, covers packaging, pricing, marketing, and selling your products. I will also cover the legal information that you need to be aware of.

You can opt to do either, or both days. They are run as completely independent, standalone courses. However, I feel that once you have done one day you will almost certainly want to do the second. Both days complement each other, and doing both gives you with the ability to create a diverse and marketable range of products. There is a £10 discount if you decide to do both days.

You will have a chance to get hands-on experience at every stage and to experiment with various methods and techniques. Advice will be given re packaging, presentation, suppliers, business opportunities, pricing and marketing. There will be ample time to ask questions and you will receive a full set of course notes. You will also be able to contact me after the course with any future problems or questions.

Take advantage, while you still can

As this course is limited to only 4 people and offers a more personal tuition, I am sure that the places will be booked very quickly. Now is an ideal time to learn these skills. This is a great opportunity to find out how to make high-street quality products for friends, family, birthday presents, Christmas gifts, to sell, or to start your own business. A course like this is excellent value, as you will benefit, not only from hands on learning, but also from my vast knowledge and experience in medicine, health, beauty and holistics.

Where are the courses held ?

I am based on the outskirts of Bedford, which is reasonably central and offers excellent access by road and rail, with Luton being the nearest airport. Bedford is off the M1 J13 and I am less than a 15 minute drive away from the motorway, and only a 10 minute taxi journey away from Bedford train station. If you need any help with directions then let me know.
